Jumpstart your fly fishing adventure! This one-day course takes you through the basics of casting a fly rod, gear selection, basic knots, casting on, and reading moving water. It also includes an introduction to stream entomology and tying your own flies. Take a class from a local fishing guide with many years of experience. After this six-hour class, you can feel confident in your basic skills in casting and wade fishing.

The Alleghany Outdoors location on the Jackson River near Covington, VA, is a perfect setting to propel you on this hobby.

This class includes all the necessary equipment and supplies, and lunch is provided. You also receive a copy of The Orvis Guide to Fly Fishing book. A Virginia Fishing License is required.
